We Specialise in the Sciences

We are a team of medical education specialists focused on supporting A-Level students who are studying the sciences and hoping to pursue a career in, or related to medicine and dentistry. Included in the team are medical professionals, university lecturers, school tutors, science graduates, ex-principal examiners and performance psychologists.

We have been providing students with expert advice and guidance on exam performance for a number of years and continue to develop successful teaching strategies and all-encompassing support which give students the tools needed to achieve their potential in the upcoming exams.

We are unique in that we assist students in all aspects of the daunting process that students hoping to study higher education at university must face. We also aim to meet each individual student’s needs by providing them with a revision course that suits their requirements, such as examination board syllabuses, subjects needed and areas of weakness to be addressed.

How it works

Principal examiners

Your principal examiners have all written exam papers themselves. You will benefit from their knowledge and exam technique skills. The workshops on examination technique focus on the key areas that you need to achieve your target grades. During the revision course you will be given the opportunity to write an exam question which you will mark yourself, as if you were an examiner! The three areas that the principal examiners will focus during the revision course are analysis, evaluation and application.

The examiners will suggest strategies that you can implement in order to boost your grades. They will also ensure that you fully understand how to apply your answer to the exam question as well as ensuring that you know and fully understand the difference between analysis and evaluation. These sessions will help contribute towards your increased understanding of the subject area and will improve your exam confidence as a result.

Syllabus review

We have a team of highly experienced and qualified teachers that you will be working alongside during the exam revision course. The syllabus review workshops will focus on the key areas that you identified during your initial questionnaire (sent to you after you confirm your booking) as well as additional areas that the tutors highlight as critical to your chances of success. These sessions with the experienced tutors will ensure that those identified areas as well as additional key topic areas are fully understood.

M&D Experience

Studying for AS-levels and thinking of medicine or dentistry? Come and join us for one of our M&D Experience events to find out whether medicine or dentistry is the right career choice for you! M&D Experience is a one-day seminar run at local NHS hospitals or medical schools designed for prospective medical and dental students who wish to find out what a career in medicine or dentistry really involves. The day consists of lectures, talks and practical sessions given by leading medical and dental professionals, such as practising dentists and consultant surgeons.

Study medicine or dentistry

Thinking of studying medicine or dentistry? Entry into UK medical and dental schools is notoriously tough and competitive. For this reason, more and more students every year decide to give themselves a back-up option in case their UCAS application is not successful this time. We offer two highly successful programmes designed for students who wish to increase their chances of being offered a place at their chosen medical or dental school – the M&D Foundation® and the M&D Pre-Med®. In addition, students are able to choose from a range of medical and dental degree programmes taught in English in Europe and the Caribbean.
